1. Pruitt effect: Second year Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, a former Alabama defensive back and secondary coach, has instilled a Crimson Tide like approach throughout the Bulldogs program, including bringing in several former Alabama staffers and players to help the transition. That has also led to Georgia looking more and more like Tide teams from the past, with a power run game and elite defense. If Alabama's new look no huddle offense struggles Saturday, it's safe to say Pruitt will have a lot to do with it.2. QB vs. QB: Both Alabama and Georgia entered the season with uncertainty at quarterback and both settled on veteran transfers over home grown talent, with the Tide turning things over to FSU transfer Jake Coker and the Bulldogs opted for Greyson Lambert, a Virginia transfer. Lambert has been by far the more consistent of the two, throwing seven touchdowns to zero interceptions. Coker hasn't been reliable with four picks and even lost his place as Alabama's starter in the Ole Miss game.3. Wildcard option: The Tide has tried to find different ways to incorporate shifty senior tailback Kenyan Drake into the offense, using him some at slot receiver. But last week Drake managed just 65 total yards after averaging 153 all purpose yards through the first three games. Georgia receiver Isaiah McKenzie is used in much the same way, working primarily as the slot receiver but also seeing action on punt return and in the ground game, accumulating 130 all purpose yards against Vanderbilt earlier this season.4. Kicking concerns: Alabama and Georgia rank last and third to last in the SEC in field goal percentage, with Tide junior kicker Adam Griffith missing his first four attempts before making three straight, including Patriots Super Bowl Jerseys ProShop, Shirts, Apparel & Other Sporting Goods a 40 yarder last week. Bulldogs senior Marshall Morgan is 4 of 6 this year with a long of 47 but missed two of three field goals in the SEC opener against Vanderbilt. If this game comes down to field goals, given both teams' stout defense, it could make for some stressful moments for either fan base.Key matchupAlabama defensive line vs. UGA RB Nick ChubbSince replacing the suspended Todd Gurley as Georgia's starter midway through last season, Chubb has been on a tear rarely seen in Athens. In fact, only one player has rushed for at least 100 yards in 12 consecutive games in program history   the famed Herschel Walker, who had 13. Chubb's streak of 12 straight 100 yard games   during which Chubb has amassed 1,922 and 18 touchdowns in that span   faces its biggest test against an Alabama defensive front that is loaded with NFL talent and is fourth nationally allowing just 56.75 rushing yards per game this season. In nine seasons under Saban, only 10 players have eclipsed the century mark in a game, including Ohio State's Ezekiel Elliot (230) in the College Football Playoff semifinal last season and Gurley (122) in the 2012 SEC title game.Player of the WeekDerrick Henry, RB, Jr., 6 3, 242While it's Chubb and fellow sophomore Sony Michel earning a lot of the pregame attention, Alabama junior Derrick Henry has quietly put together a scoring streak that would rival most anyone in the country. Henry has scored a rushing touchdown in each of his last nine games dating back to last season's LSU game. During that span, he's rushed for 658 yards on exactly 100 carries (6.58 yards per carry), and 11 touchdowns in his last six games. With the rushing firepower on the opposite sideline Saturday, Henry's role will wholesale jerseys be intensified, with the potential to help carry an inconsistent Tide offense early on. That would allow the passing game to open up gradually, as well as keep Chubb and Michel on that sideline.By the numbers7 1: Nick Saban's record in SEC road openers while at Alabama, the lone loss coming last season with a 23 17 upset at Ole Miss.9: Number of seconds remaining in the 2012 SEC Championship Game when Chris Conley was tripped up at the 5 yard line on an unexpected pass from Aaron Murray as Georgia fell 32 28 to Alabama in their last meeting.86: Number of career conference wins for Saban, which places him seventh all time and five ahead of Georgia's Mark Richt. Another loss might also be Athletic Jerseys Wholesale - NFL enough to keep the Tide out of the College Football Playoff race, even if it wins out. With similarly strong run games and defensive fronts, what could ultimately make the difference is quarterback play, where Lambert has proven to be the more reliable of the transfer quarterbacks. He has looked more consistent than Coker. Given his four interceptions in the last three home games, Coker's affinity for head scratching mistakes will likely only be elevated in the first road start of his career.
